Where to see Fireworks in Philadelphia, PA
As America's birthplace, Philadelphia is the perfect location to take in a fireworks show to celebrate the Fourth of July-which will also be the country's 239th birthday. The following are some of great locations to catch this year's fireworks shows.
Wawa's Welcome America! Festivities at Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Wawa's Welcome America! Celebration will feature a dynamic fireworks display regardless of the weather. The event’s grand finale is scheduled for the Fourth of July between 7 and 11 pm, with the fireworks estimated to start around 10:30 PM.
Head over to Benjamin Franklin Parkway between Eakins Oval and 20th Street to catch the show. You can also take in a free concert at this site before the fireworks are set off. Wawa has dubbed it the largest free concert in America. Several bands, including Philly’s own The Roots, will play their hits leading up to the fireworks display that will fill the sky above the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Morgan's Pier, 221 North Columbus Boulevard
Aside from Penn's Landing, Philadelphia features several other spectacular vantage points for fireworks displays. Morgan's Pier is a relatively new observation site. It's a beer garden situated by the waterfront, just north of the city's Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The site features picnic tables, a large deck, and live music.
Race Street Pier, Race Street and North Columbus Boulevard
Others will enjoy the festivities from Race Street Pier. This is a gorgeous public park with impressive green spaces. It has plentiful bleacher seating, but fireworks lovers should be warned that these seats fill up surprisingly fast. So get there as early as possible in order to snag some seats for you and your friends or family.
Parks
If you aren't looking for bleacher seating and are content to spread out on a blanket or beach towel, consider checking out the fireworks from Washington Avenue Green. This park is situated on the Delaware River Waterfront and used to be referred to as Pier 53. Washington Avenue's Green is located at 1301 South Columbus Blvd. The site offers an abundance of space where you can spread out and enjoy the festivities.
Or head over the river to Camden, NJ, where you'll find Wiggins Park. It offers free admission and is conveniently situated by the Battleship New Jersey and the Adventure Aquarium. Here you and your family can check out the fireworks in all their glory without any obstructions.
Independence Seaport Museum, 211 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard
Head over to the Independence Seaport Museum for a fantastic view of the fireworks above the Delaware River. Their spectacular observation deck will provide a one of a kind view.
Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing, 201 S Columbus Blvd
Bring the family to the Hyatt Regency's Keatings River Grill for some delicious food and a remarkable vantage point for the fireworks show. The show will take place the weekend before the Fourth of July. The site has an elaborate summer menu and a spacious outdoor terrace where you can take in the celebration in a luxurious manner.

Regardless of where you decide to go, we at Barbera wish you a happy Fourth of July!
