Buying a new truck can be exciting, but with so many options available on the market today, it also can be difficult to make a decision.

Two popular options today are the 2015 Ram 1500 and the Toyota Tundra. Both are offered by companies known for their high quality and advanced technology. So how will you choose?

Let's use this vehicle comparison to see how they match up.

Efficiency and Power

Powered by the standard 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine, the Ram 1500 is a powerful and efficient vehicle. But it offers two additional engines in case you want a different driving experience. These engines are a 3.6-liter V6 24-valve Variable Valve Timing (VVT) engine and a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI MDS VVT engine with active grille shutters. All of the options are excellent and have their pros and cons, but the V8 engine will give you the most power and the best fuel efficiency for your buck.

These engines are paired with either a six- or an eight-speed transmission, depending on the engine you choose, and the vehicle offers both front and rear heavy-duty shock absorbers, which give the Ram 1500 a smooth and comfortable ride despite its size.

On the other hand, the Toyota Tundra offers three engine options: a 4.6-liter aluminum i-FORCE V8 DOHC 32-valve engine, a 5.7-liter aluminum i-FORCE V8 DOHC 32-valve engine, or a 5.7-liter aluminum i-FORCE V8 DOHC E85 flex fuel 32-valve engine. Unfortunately, even though the Tundra looks good on paper, the vehicle gets below-average fuel efficiency for the class and offers a less-than-smooth ride, which makes driving around Jenkintown, Abington, and Fox Chase quite uncomfortable.

Comfort and Convenience

The 2015 Ram 1500 has plenty of advanced comfort features inside that make it an excellent option for those looking for a vehicle that's comfortable and loaded with convenience features. These features include the Uconnect 8.4A AM/FM/SXM/HD/BT/NAV system with available SiriusXM Satellite Radio with a one-year radio subscription. The system is easy to use and allows you to listen to all of your favorite channels no matter what platform they're on. The large screen offers great graphics, a quick responsiveness, and a feeling of luxury.

The Toyota Tundra's system, the Entune Audio system, not only isn't offered in the amazingly large size you'll find in the Ram 1500, but the system is often slow to respond to your touch. Given that it's a touchscreen system, this can be cumbersome and annoying to the user.
